The Marisfrolg Campus is a series of interconnecting curvilinear structures representing a bird in flight, symbolic of the client's desire to move gracefully into their future. The building appears to be light and soaring but at the same time grounded by the use of materials, a combination of stone, brick and broken tiles. The material palette has been carefully considered in regards to recycling, reuse and the art of rekindling hand craftsmanship.
The Atrium entrance links to a boutique hotel, restaurants, and flagship stores, all under an overarching solarium that provides shade to the Hotel and the Atrium Design studios and a Fashion Catwalk radiate from the Atrium and are all housed under leaf like roof forms. The surrounding pond on the northern perimeter captures rain runoff from the roof, draws in the prevailing wind and uses this as a passive cooling device for the complex.
